Resolving.

Well we’re five days in to 2012 (happy New Year!), and I’ve managed to come up with a feasible resolution.

For the last few years I’ve been accumulating a far amount of camera equipment, now it’s time to put it to some use. Or at least more use. I did make myself a website with the intention of putting all my best online, for the world to see. Unfortunately, the world’s not looking and I haven’t been updating. My hard drives are filling with photos that are destined for nowhere and I have been putting less effort in to creating an image that is worth publishing.

This year, I hope to tackle all 12 assignments laid down by the Guardian Camera Club. These photos will have a destination, be taken for a purpose, and will have some thought behind them. This seems like a good way to tidy my approach. Wish me luck.

Above is my highlight of 2011 (in photography) – featuring on the Guardian in the Green Shoots assignment in July.
